The Role: What This Opportunity's All About

Here in the Radiology Department at Christchurch Hospital we're on the lookout for efficient, flexible Radiographic Assistants to join our team on a casual basis.

This is a varied role for someone with a passion for patient care, on a daily basis you will be interacting with patients in person and handling enquirers over the phone. As the glue that holds the department together, you'll be responsible for inputting patient details, organising inpatient appointments, assisting with patients and supporting the MRT's or Sonographers and Regs. Therefore you'll need excellent communication skills as well as great attention to detail and organisational skills.

Radiology is a busy place to be - you would be rostered to in any one of the eight different areas. We are looking for people to cover day, afternoon and weekend shifts as our service runs between the hours of 7.30-2300 Monday till Sunday, at this stage the services requires those with availability over the day shift specifically but being flexibility to cover planned and unplanned leave on a full roster is a must. This role is ever evolving and will be sure to keep you thinking! A natural team player, with the ability to see the bigger picture, you will enjoy working co-operatively in a large and busy environment.

Experience in customer service is essential in this role, and ideally you will be confident using computer systems and possess some existing knowledge of the Health Sector. No radiology experience or qualification are required for the position however a passion for the field of Radiology and commitment to patient care is essential.
