Permanent, Full-time

Remuneration range: $67,261.00 - $91,000.00

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor in Wellington District to join our organisation and be a key member of a newly focused team. This is a permanent full time position.

 

The Advisor will report to the Team Leader, Health and Safety and be responsible for:

  • Understanding hazards in the work area and eliminating and minimising the associated risk.
  • Promoting district and service centre consistency and excellence in all health and safety systems and policies following national guideline.
  • Workplace and personal health monitoring.
  • Benchmarking and evaluation.

Skills & Experiences:

  • A successful track record working as a wellness and safety specialist within a complex operational environment, including managing risks and issues.

  • Demonstrate strong writing skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.

Remuneration range: $67,261.00 - $91,000.00

  • The above remuneration range is a full-time equivalent. If the employee is engaged for less than 40 hours per week their total remuneration will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

 

 

Special requirements:

  • Applicants must be a New Zealand or Australian citizen, or a New Zealand resident, or have a valid New Zealand work visa to apply for this position
  • Successful applicants must have a tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or a related field.
