Job Description

  • ICT Commercial management supporting the delivery of Technology and Transformation outcomes
  • Supply and Vendor Management
  • Focus is building engagement and providing trusted advice to key stakeholders

Reporting to our Manager, Strategic Partners - as the Senior Category Manager no two days will be the same as you will be responsible for building and maintaining a trusted advisor relationship with key stakeholders within Technology and Transformation and other business units. With a focus on delivering benefits and maximizing value through all of ACC's ICT spend.

You're good at what you do - having significant experience in the area of ICT commercial. Your strong commercial and procurement background, as well as sound leadership and knowledge in end-to-end procurement will be critical to the success of the role. Naturally you'll have the expertise to have full accountability for the performance of your category and to work across the business expertly.

You're are an energetic, motivated, action orientated person who has proven experience in delivering benefits, category improvement initiatives; and developing and leading supplier relationships. Business engagement is important to the success of this role and you will have a track-record of working collaboratively with other leaders and partners to deliver commercial outcomes in a complex and changing environment, you'll be comfortable operating in the ‘grey' and will bring your influence and persuasion skills to bear as you build trusted relationships.

Core elements of the role are to:

  • lead and run activities within the IT Category of spend
  • supply and Vendor Management
  • develop and drive a planned series of initiatives
  • work across the Category teams
  • work closely with Legal Services and Communications teams

Here's what you'll bring:

  • Commercial and/or Sales experience
  • IT Procurement background
  • Supplier Management
  • Contract negotiations
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence others
  • Ability to run procurement processes
  • Commercial law
  • CIPS qualification
