Senior Advisor Diversity and Inclusion

Based in Wellington

 

This is a role that has a significant impact on people's lives in the workplace. Working in Specialist Capability of the People Capability team, you will be lead the design, build and execution of the Diversity and Inclusion Framework & Work Program at the Ministry of Education. You'll be working closely with the D&I Networks, building network groups and engaging with them on projects.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Prioritising and delivering the Ministry's Diversity and Inclusion work program to build an inclusive work environment that attracts diverse people and perspectives.
  • Wellbeing programmes for staff that are closely linked to the inclusion and diversity work
  • Communicating D&I reports and trends to relevant stakeholders
  • Involvement in other key OD projects across the Ministry.

We are looking for an HR professional with expertise in Organisational Development and/or Learning & Development with 5 to 8 years' experience working in a large and complex organisation. You'll have excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, able to work collaboratively across teams and with external influencers. With the wide variety of work and interactions, you'll need to be have the ability to solve problems in a pragmatic way whilst building trusted relationships.
