The Treasury is the New Zealand Government's lead economic and financial advisor. We provide innovative and cutting-edge advice focused on outcomes that make a real difference for all New Zealanders.

As a Senior Advisor Strategy, Planning & Performance you will be highly creative, energetic and deeply knowledgeable about strategy, planning and performance as key components of the Public Sector accountability cycle, processes and documents.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement the Treasury's business and organisational strategy
  • Co-lead an integrated Treasury-wide strategic planning process
  • Co-lead the development and production of the Treasury's external accountability documents
  • Co-lead the development and co-ordination of internal and external performance reporting
  • Provide original thinking, anticipate future issues, challenge the status quo
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the Treasury

 

What you will bring:

  • A relevant Tertiary qualification or relevant on the job experience
  • Experience in developing strategy, planning and performance reporting
  • In depth understanding and demonstrated experience in the Public Sector accountability cycle
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills and credibility to engage with and influence senior decision makers
  • Ability to be agile and respond quickly to demand
