Front of House is at the heart of the New Zealand Film Commission.

Te Tumu Whakaata Taonga The New Zealand Film Commission (NZFC) is seeking to appoint a Front of House Coordinator for a fixed term of one-year. The position is based in Wellington and will report to the Head of Resources.

The Front of House coordinator (FOH) is equal parts maître d' extraordinaire and office admin superstar, providing a professional, welcoming reception and hosting service and supporting the smooth running of the Film Commission's offices.

We are currently recruiting for a new fixed term FOH to join our Resource team.

This role includes front of house reception/event hosting duties, administrative and accounts support, travel management, office and premises maintenance oversight.  As the first port of call for external enquiries this position is also integral for ensuring clear communication across the organisation. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven track record of high-quality customer service experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office to an intermediate level within an office environment, especially MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of and interest in the film industry
  • Knowledge of/competency in Te Reo Māori would be an advantage, as could be an Asian, Pacific or European language(s).

This is a one-year, full-time contract covering parental leave. The successful applicant would be based in Wellington. It is envisaged the position will commence mid November 2018. Salary is dependent on experience.
