The Operations Manager role which is part of the Caregiver Recruitment and Support Leadership Team will build and lead a high performing caregiver centric team to deliver exceptional recruitment and support services to caregivers across regions.   This role interacts with other areas of the Care Services team and the wider organisation, to ensure that caregiver expectations and needs are exceeded.  


You will lead people, change, quality assurance, risk and budgets. You will participate in project teams and your role will be to implement and embed nationally agreed protocols, processes and systems to enable full and effective delivery of services to caregivers.

The skills, attributes and experience we are seeking include:

•        a tertiary business qualification and/or equivalent relevant experience is essential

•        a social work qualification, or experience working in a care setting is desirable

•        experience in leading high performing teams and managing service delivery operations

•        building a strong, aligned and productive culture including evidence based practice

•        experience in business planning, financial, people and risk management,  resource allocation and performance monitoring processes

•        able to navigate and prioritise in complex environments

•        relationship management and the ability to positively influence others

•        experience working with, and a commitment to, improving outcomes for Māori

•        a clean, current driver's licence is essential and a willingness to drive the Ministry's vehicles and undertake some travel.
