Exciting opportunity to work in a high performing policy team with a great culture.

We work on a diverse range of issues that matter to New Zealanders including local government, digital rights, gambling, racing, fire reform, and the community and voluntary sector.

Opportunity to work closely with Ministers and senior leaders.

Use your leadership skills to mentor and develop junior staff.

As part of the policy group, you will have the opportunity to contribute to supporting the safety, wellbeing and success of New Zealand communities and government services. At DIA we serve eight Ministers covering a range of portfolios, so opportunities to brief Ministers are frequent.

We re looking for an experienced senior policy analyst who is keen to expand their experience and try something new.  Our busy, varied work programme means you will have exposure to a wide range of policy work, helping you expand your policy skills. We work closely with our operational colleagues so you can see how your work translates into practice and improves the lives of New Zealanders. If you don t have legislative experience here is your chance to gain it. If you do have legislative experience you will put it to good use.

DIA offers opportunities to grow. We invest and believe in our people, and offer diverse career opportunities to help them succeed. If you care about communities and services for New Zealand, and share our passion for policy, there is a rewarding career waiting for you at DIA.
