Job Description

We are currently seeking a Design Analyst in Christchurch or Wellington for a permanent full time position.

 Who are we?

We are a team who produce economic statistics about New Zealand businesses and the trade they do with the rest of the world. Our statistics allow evidence-based decision making which impacts the lives of all New Zealanders. Our statistics are used by:

  • The Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Treasury, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development, World Bank and International Monetary Fund.
  • Market economists and traders to inform global financial investment decisions.

 What skills do you need to be successful in our team?

Among other things to do well in our team, you'll need to:

  • Have a computer science, mathematics or statistics degree.
  • Have the drive and resilience to meet the changing needs of our customers.
  • Be confident to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Be open to new methods and ways of working.
  • Coach and mentor staff to lift capability across the business unit.
