Job Description

  • Do you want a role where you can lead a team responsible for the development of a system from design through to implementation? Where you can still get hands-on configuring networking and security devices before implementing the virtual platform and building the host OS?
  • Are you passionate about implementing security in depth practices and researching innovative approaches to solving interesting technical challenges?
  • Do you want to lead a multi-disciplinary technical team supporting GCSB operational activities?

If so, this is the role for you!  The GCSB are seeking an Infrastructure Lead to join our busy team. This role is responsible for leading the development and maintenance of infrastructure capabilities in support of GCSB's activities. You would also direct and mentor infrastructure unit staff and ensure the technical health of the unit. While the role is extremely varied, some of the key duties include:

  • Leading the development and support of infrastructure across a range of capabilities and technologies;
  • Working in a role across typical technological boundaries to implement new capabilities in support of GCSB operational activities; and
  • Providing technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers working to develop and implement capabilities that enable the conduct of operations at the heart of the New Zealand Intelligence Community.

As well as interesting work we offer a range of benefits including professional development, free health insurance, on-site gym and fitness facilities and a great work life balance with you never having to take work home.

We support diversity in the workplace and believe it is our first line of defence. We encourage all parts of the community to consider a career with us.

Salary from $106,860 - $160,290 per annum
