*Do you want a role based in Kapiti with flexible working hours and part time work options?

If so - the New Zealand Police Vetting Service wants you!

The NZ Police's mission is to be the safest country in the world and to have the trust and confidence of all.  In the Police Vetting Service, it is our role to carry out important identity and background checks on those who care for the young and vulnerable within our society to contribute to their safety.

The Police is changing the way it works in order to provide a better service, and as part of this transformation, the Police Vetting Service is going to have a team located in the Digital and Communication Centre in Paraparaumu, Kapiti.

While our normal hours of work are Monday to Friday, we work a rotating eight hours shift system comprising day shifts (worked between 0600 - 1800) and 5 late shifts per 4 week period (hours currently set between 1300 - 2200).

We have a number of vacancies and are open to part time/flexible working arrangements once initial training is complete.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for motivated individuals who go above and beyond what is required to provide excellent customer service, are a real team player and are adaptable and flexible in their approach to work.  For more information about us follow this link:

  • During the initial training in Wellington, you will be entitled to reimbursement of any additional transport expenses, incurred for travel between your residence and Police National Headquarters, if this is further than the distance you would normally travel between your residence and the Kapiti Communications and Digital Centre.
