Job Description

Relationship Manager

Investing in what works for better lives

  • Permanent opportunity
  • Based in Wellington's CBD
  • Join our highly innovative agency and make a difference to New Zealand's social services platforms

About the role

As key part of the Partnerships team you will be responsible for identifying and mobilising active relationships to develop and deliver products and services that enhance the lives of New Zealanders and create positive change.

We are looking for someone who has strong relationship experience, ideally from the social sector who will work with our strategically chosen partners to embed an ‘Investing in Social Wellbeing Approach'.  You will understand, advocate for, and be able to include an approach to investing for social wellbeing that fits the cultural, community, and structural settings of partner organisations. This will include leading the relationship to maximise their contribution, benefit, and voice within a richly set out approach that works for them.

What we're looking for

  • An authentic leader who has a proven record in leading a partner function in environments involving a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to initiate, establish and sustain a broad range of functional relationships with senior managers in a wide range of social sector organisations.
  • Experience in developing and operationalising new concepts and services in the context of service delivery, product delivery, or business solution implementation, in a range of organisations at scale.
  • Experience of system/service delivery in a senior position in service delivery organisations in the social sector.

Who we are

SIA is a small government department with a big purpose; investing in social wellbeing through improved decision making.  This is achieved by demonstrating the value of using data, evidence and technology to support decision-making across the social system, trialling new and innovative ways of working with government and NGOs, and developing social system tools and infrastructure that all agencies can use.  Because we are small, we can be agile and continually explore and test our thinking in order to develop the best approach.
