About NZ Post:
We're a diverse and vibrant organisation that has been integral to the Kiwi way of life for over 170 years. We are continually evolving and developing to create a more agile, streamlined and coordinated business that will continue to meet the needs of our customers into the future.

About the role:
Reporting to the Head of People Engagement, you will be focussed on the following:

  • Work as part of a team proactively providing employee relations and employment law advice, support and guidance
  • Developing and maintaining proactive, constructive and effective relationships with internal & external stakeholders, and industry networks
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of current and proposed employment legislation
  • Monitoring day-to-day activities and working with the Head of People Engagement to identify gaps and to develop a plan to deal with these issues proactively at an operational level.

This role will be a real mix of day to day advice through to working on projects with a future strategic nature – no two days will be the same! This is an excellent opportunity to become the ‘go to' employment relations Subject Matter Expert and utilise your skills and experience in a large and ever evolving commercial organisation.

A bit about you:
You will thrive in a change environment and enjoy jumping in and out of your comfort zone, be inquisitive, proactive and most of all a collaborative specialist with the ability to build constructive relationships across our business.

Ideally you will have proven a legal background providing specialised employment law advice and support within an evolving and commercially driven organisation. A track record of building constructive and trusted relationships with unions and negotiation experience would be great, but not essential.
We would love someone with positive energy to support the business, someone who has a naturally optimistic outlook, and someone who can simply make things happen.

We believe our team embodies the values of our business and are working to make New Zealand Post competitive, commercial and relevant for the future. If you're looking to make a valuable contribution to significant transformational change within an iconic kiwi organisation then we would love to hear from you.
