Job Description

We are responsible for paying around 90,000 teachers and support staff in around 2,500 schools every fortnight. We work with around 6,700 payroll administrators.  We pay around $4.6 billion per annum.

Education Payroll has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Service Design Lead who wants to make a difference to the Education Sector. We are currently looking for a successful Service Design Lead to join our team for 12 months (cross agency secondment or fixed term) to contribute to the successful delivery of our service investments programme.

If you are passionate about putting the customer at the centre of change and want to be part of a customer focused, learning organisation, this may be the role for you.

As the Service Design Lead, you will be the voice of the customer and will ensure that the needs of the customer lead the design throughout the programme.

You will provide specialist support and oversight on all aspects of Service Design, as well as lead Service Design practices and activities.

Key to success of this role will be the applicant's ability to identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience by using service design principles and tools to develop insights about customer needs, expectations, pain points, risks and opportunities.

You will have experience in the following:

  • Working directly with customers to identify and understand requirements
  • Proposing solutions to optimise the customer experience
  • Using analytical techniques to develop an in-depth understanding of customers, opportunities and risks
  • Sharing insights with the wider organisation to develop better customer solutions
  • Coaching other team members and building and strengthening service design and customer experience.
  • Building strong and positive relationships with key leaders, stakeholders and customers
  • Working in a high paced, agile and customer led environment
  • Demonstrating exceptional communication skills

This is an exciting opportunity to take a central role in delivering a better payroll to schools.

EPL embraces diversity and is committed to a culture that recognises and celebrates the collective uniqueness and contribution of all employees.
