Job Description

Are you wanting to be part of a team influencing outcomes for the future generations of New Zealanders? Are you passionate about the role energy efficiency plays in our day to day lives? Are you wanting to be part of a team that are equally passionate, generous with sharing expertise and experiences and are keen to welcome new knowledge into the team?

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is a government agency whose purpose is to mobilise New Zealanders to be world leaders in clean and clever energy use.

We have a focus on optimising New Zealanders' use of renewable energy through energy efficient homes, technologies and behaviours. The use of energy efficient technologies and clean energy sources provides a way for New Zealand to achieve its climate change goals while at the same time helping ordinary New Zealanders save power.

A role has become available within our Strategy and Programme Development team. This team works with the broader EECA business to ensure EECA's work programme is strategy led. The team leads the identification of opportunities that can deliver the greatest public value at the lowest cost; and translates these into effective public programmes via a collaborative design process.

The role of Advisor Programme Development provides guidance and coordination to ensure EECA develops high-value programmes founded on sound business case development principles and intervention logic. We are looking for someone who can effectively communicate the evidence base on which EECA develops our programmes.

You will bring with you a working knowledge of the energy market and energy sector issues and be a natural communicator in order to engage with a range of stakeholders. You will have a passion for energy efficiency, and an ability to take ideas and communicate these in a way that brings a range of stakeholders along the journey of effective programme design.
