Job Description

  • Applications close Wednesday, 12 December 2018

ACC is a unique organisation - there's nothing quite like it in New Zealand, or the rest of the world! Our core focus is to prevent accidents from happening, but when they do, we're here to reduce the impact of injury.

ACC's focus is on how we can build trust and confidence and improve the level of customer service we provide to New Zealanders.

We have many different functions across the organisation with every one having a common goal - to connect the people of New Zealand with ACC.

As the Northern Contact Centre, we respond to queries from our Claims, Provider and Business customers. We aim to deliver a consistent customer experience, not just over the phone but through email and online channels.

We don't just want to be okay at what we do. We want to be so good, it's effortless.

The people we're looking for are motivated to take ownership, they're relentless in what they do and create a shared understanding with our customers.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Exceptional customer service skills experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Love being the first point of contact and helping people
  • Enjoy problem solving
  • A desire to learn more about ACC and use this knowledge to help our customers
  • The right attitude. You must have a very good attitude and work ethic to be part of our team

Our contact centre hours are 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday, so you would need to be flexible enough to work an eight hour rostered shift between those hours.

As part of your application you may be invited to complete some online assessments to allow us to assess your typing speed.

The indicative starting salary for this role will be $47,150. This is exclusive of ACC's 9% superannuation contribution which would bring the total starting package to $51,393.

At ACC, we recognise that diversity, inclusion and accessibility are important to our business. We embrace the unique perspectives and capabilities of our current and future employees, which will help us continue to drive innovation and achieve our business goals. Our culture enables us to create an environment of involvement, respect and connection with the communities where we work - benefitting individual employees and all our clients across New Zealand.

The closing date for this role is Wednesday, 12 December 2018.
