Callaghan Innovation is New Zealand's innovation agency. We activate innovation and help businesses grow faster for a better New Zealand. Callaghan Innovation is committed to enhancing the operation of New Zealand's innovation ecosystem, working closely with MBIE, NZTE, NZVIF, Crown Research Institutes, and other organisations to help increase business investment in R&D and innovation. The agency operates from five urban offices and a regional partner network in a further 12 locations across Aotearoa.

We are seeking a great communications professional to lead our internal communications and connections team in either Auckland or Wellington. This is a fabulous opportunity for an ambitious and creative Communications Practitioner keen to make their mark in the internal communications space through the development and implementation of an innovative and engaging communications strategy.

Callaghan Innovation aspires to be the best, and to do this we need great people with the right skills working together to achieve our strategy. We have a huge agenda and this role is critical to our success. You'll make a difference through advising our executive team, working across the organisation to optimise our digital communications tools and platforms, and through designing and implementing innovative approaches to connect our people and build alignment to our mission.

We're an exciting organisation, with an agenda jam packed and focused on helping New Zealand's innovative people and companies thrive. The position reports to our General Manager People and Capability, manages a small team, and integrates closely with both our organisational development team and market, engagement and experience group.
