SENIOR MINISTERIAL ADVISOR OFFICE OF HON EUGENIE SAGE

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Ministerial Advisor, based in the office of Hon Eugenie Sage, Minister of Conservation, Minister for Land Information and Associate Minister for the Environment.  Providing high level policy advice directly to the Minister across a range of portfolio responsibilities, this is a challenging and rewarding role, giving you an insight into the workings of the Executive Government of today.

All applicants must have an excellent understanding of existing government and public service protocols and processes.  This role  requires knowledge of political processes, political nous and the ability to contribute to policy proposals and submissions. Experience in responding to Official Information Act requests, parliamentary questions and drafting correspondence and briefings would be advantageous. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail are essential. Due to the nature of the role knowledge and networks in the conservation and/or environment (waste) areas are strongly preferred.

Applicants must demonstrate a proven ability to effectively interpret a wide range of information and resolve complex issues under pressure. This role interacts with a variety of people, organisations and sectors so the right applicant will have the ability to quickly establish and maintain excellent working relationships.

A requirement of this role is that you are able to hold a security clearance.  There are certain criteria that must be met in this regard. If you think you are up to it, show us you have the attitude, drive, and high-level communication skills necessary by applying through our website.
