Organisation Strategy & Performance (OSP) is a small team that works across the organisation to lead strategic and business planning, performance measurement and reporting, including the development of key accountability documents. The team is also responsible for the implementation of the organisation s risk and privacy frameworks.

The role offers the opportunity be responsible for a number of performance reports across the parliamentary accountability system and internally. You will have a high profile within Stats NZ and work closely with senior leaders on a regular basis. You will be able to shape how we deliver our reporting. There is also an opportunity for you to be involved in the on-going development of performance measures to support strategic progress and continuous improvement. 


To do your job well you will need to work with broad cross-section of people across our organisation.  Being great at connecting with people, asking the right questions and building professional relationships will be key to your success.

Your will have:

      A Bachelor level qualification with an emphasis on the machinery of government (or equivalent experience)

      A passion to learn, challenge the status quo and an open mind to explore different ways of solving new and old problem

      An ability to join the dots and think systematically

       1-3 years of experience in a similarly role

      Experience of providing reporting for senior leaders, managers and advisers

      Strong written and excel skills.

Previous experience working in a government environment is beneficial. An understanding of good privacy practices would be especially beneficial.
