As a Stats NZ employee you can expect to work with fantastic people in a flexible work environment where diversity is celebrated.

Organisation Strategy & Performance (OSP) is a small team that works across the organisation to lead strategic and business planning, business optimisation, innovation, performance measurement and reporting. The team is also responsible for coordinating the development of key accountability documents, and implementation of the organisation s risk and privacy frameworks.

You will be working with people across our organisation. To do your job well, you will be great at connecting with people, asking the right questions and building professional relationships. As an advisor you will have the opportunity to be involved in the full range of OSP's work. This role is a great opportunity to broaden your skills and experience and develop your career.

You will have:

  • a passion to learn, challenge the status quo and an open mind to explore different ways of solving new and old problems;
  • an analytical approach and have experience providing reporting for senior leaders, managers and advisers;
  • a Bachelors level qualification (or equivalent experience).

Previous experience working in a government environment is beneficial. An understanding of good privacy practices would be especially beneficial.

What s in it for you?

If you are a passionate and talented person who relishes the idea of becoming part of NZ s data system, then come join our team!
