The purpose of the role

This job is for the Māori Partnership & Design work stream—the workstream responsible for ensuring our Treaty Partners are in focus for the development of Indicators Aotearoa NZ, and to align the project and outputs with Te Ao Māori. Your role within the Māori Partnership & Design workstream will be to help us create those opportunities for partnership and reflection of Te Ao Māori, including collating insights from Iwi engagement, contributing Matauranga Māori throughout the IANZ project and deliverables, and preparation of analysis and insights for the Indicators Aotearoa NZ project. 

You should apply for this role if you: 

  • Have an interest and understanding of Te Ao Māori and working in Partnership with Māori 
  • Have knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi 
  • Have interest in, or knowledge of Māori methodologies and Māori wellbeing frameworks
  • Love challenges and flourish under pressure 
  • Can work at pace in a team and on your own 
  • Have an interest in measuring New Zealand s wellbeing.
