The Treasury is the New Zealand Government's lead economic and financial advisor. Our vision is to be a world-leading Treasury working towards higher living standards for New Zealanders. The Treasury also provides corporate services - Finance, HR and I&T - to both itself and the DPMC.  The Information and Technology (I&T) Programme Management Office (PMO) has an opportunity for a motivated and talented IT Delivery Coordinator to join its team to coordinate small engagements, deliver larger and non-standard service requests and support portfolio management reporting.

About the I&T PMO

Our I&T Programme Management Office ensures the delivery of real business benefits through facilitating ideas, concepts and the delivery of agreed initiatives and projects aligned to key business priorities and strategic goals. As an IT Delivery Coordinator within the PMO, you will be working across all teams in the I&T organisation to coordinate and facilitate business outcomes for our internal clients that are aligned with our I&T strategy and scope of services.

This role is ideally suited to someone with a minimum of 2-3yrs of IT support experience who enjoys engaging with customers, likes delivering outcomes for the business and wants to work towards an IT leadership role but doesn't quite know where to start.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop basic skills in leading delivery across the I&T team, executive communication and reporting, refining and improving IT delivery processes and IT financial management.  

About You

We're looking for a flexible ambitious IT professional who has:

  • Highly effective planning and organisational skills, including time management and prioritising work in a complex work environment
  • Demonstrated leadership in the delivery of IT services or outcomes to clients
  • A proven ability to understand different stakeholder's motivations and to influence and persuade
  • Customer centric with excellent relationship management skills, including the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and great attention to detail
  • Experience in developing and maintaining portfolio governance reporting would be an advantage
