We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and high-achieving Senior Analyst to join the Reserve Bank Act Review Team. This is a key government reform to modernise the Reserve Bank's financial stability policy frameworks, as well as its governance and accountability settings, to make sure they support a well performing financial system. Policy development is already underway with further public consultations planned in 2019 and with legislation expected to be introduced later in 2020.

You'll be joining a joint team of passionate and curious individuals from both the Reserve Bank and Treasury that has been tasked with carrying out the Review. You will have the opportunity to influence and develop the Review's recommendations, including providing advice to senior managers and Ministers, and take these reforms through from policy development to legislation.

A successful candidate will already have a significant breadth and depth of ideally 5+ years' analytical experience as well as:

  • Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues and concepts clearly and succinctly
  • Sound analytical skills and an ability to think critically about complex policy issues
  • Experience working with others to develop agreed solutions
  • The ability to manage a range of internal and external relationships and to influence
  • Experience leading people, projects, or policy processes
  • An organised, proactive mind-set, with the ability to take ownership for their work

 

Experience working on financial policy issues would be highly advantageous and experience working on previous legislative reform processes would also be desirable.
