Station Support Officer

Wairarapa Area, Wellington District

Permanent, Part Time

Police Employee, Band C $49,634 - $67,153

We are seeking a .5 Part time, Frontline Station Support Officer to provide operational and administrative support in the Wairarapa area.  This area encompasses Featherston and Carterton Stations and you may be required to work in both areas although your primary base will be Masterton.

 

The purpose of a Frontline Station Support Officer is to provide operational and administrative support which includes (but is not limited to) file management, customer service, telephony, typing, data entry, use of Police systems.

 

The successful applicant will need to be highly motivated and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • An ability to utilise effective customer service and communication skills (written and oral) and experience at working in an effective and positive team environment
  • Good time management skills, the ability to prioritise and to stay calm and maintain levels of performance in pressure situations
  • Knowledge and experience with computer applications (eg. NIA, SAP, Microsoft Office)
  • The advisor will work closely with business projects and the ICT Service Centre, and with security practitioners within Police, our partners and providers

 

Special Requirements:

  • Must be a New Zealand or Australian citizen, or a New Zealand resident, or have a valid New Zealand work visa to apply for this position
  • Successful applicants must reside in the Wellington Area
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo a vetting clearance prior to any offer of employment made
