Personal Assistant to the Chief Judge, Chief Judge's Chambers, Māori Land Court, Wellington (40 hours per week)

Are you an experienced and professional personal assistant open to an interesting new role?

We are looking for a person who will provide professional, confidential and reliable assistance to the Chief Judge of the Māori Land Court. 

The successful person will support the Chief Judge's work before, during and after hearings, as the principal liaison point between the Chief Judge and the Court registry administration.

Hours of work are 40 per week.  A FLEXIBLE approach to your day to day duties is essential to succeed in this position.

This role demands attention to detail and the ability to respond to and manage conflicting priorities, therefore a high level of verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work autonomously to tight deadlines are key requirements.

In addition to demonstrated admin/secretarial experience the following competencies are important:

  • proficiency in te reo Māori
  • an understanding of, and the ability to operate within, Māori customs and practices
  • an understanding of the work and practices of the Māori Land Court and the Waitangi Tribunal

Salary range:  $48,853-$68,968
