Job Description

Research Services Analyst - Parliamentary Library

Come join a team working for some of the most interesting clients in the country - members of Parliament and their staff.

In the Parliamentary Library you'll help deliver research services to Parliament and the public. You'll focus on writing the Library's Bills Digests. These provide an impartial summary of bills. They save customers time and build context and understanding of new legislation. This service was recently reviewed, so you will be bedding-in a new focus and format for the digests.

The right person will provide a 'bridge' between our clients and complex legislation. You will explain the history and key proposals in a bill, in a clear and neutral style. Great timekeeping and attention to detail are essential. We're also looking for a commitment to improving the service.

You will love collaborating, working in a team, and building great relationships. You should ideally have a law degree, and be able to legally work in New Zealand.

If this sounds like you, why not get in touch?
