About the role.

As part of a team providing digital and non-digital library and records information services to MBIE staff you will be focussed on helping the team to embed their new Library Management System (Genie Plus and Presto)

The Senior Advisor Information supports the Ministry to extract value from its information by delivering information that is easy to find, easy to use and relevant to their work. You will work closely with vendors and our technology set to get the best information outcome for MBIE users.

As a collaborative team member you will work closely with your colleagues ensuring that customer needs are met and information sources and services are accessible and maintained. You will also work to ensure the new system is configured to meet the team's needs and they have been trained and supported appropriately.

 

Skills and experience required:

We are keen to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience, interest or aptitude to learn and develop a library management
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-functional customer facing team
  • Proven experience in the provision of library or records services
  • Some knowledge of current practices in records, information and library collections
  • A tertiary qualification in information management or equivalent experience
  • Strong commitment to follow team processes and systems
  • Must have legal right to live and work in NZ

 

About the team:

The ICT branch sits within the Corporate Governance and Information Group and is responsible for the full range of information and communications technology functions, including the management of information and data. This role sits within Information and Data, ICT in the Records & Library Services team who are responsible for sourcing, delivering, managing, collating and providing digital and non-digital information to MBIE information users.
