Job Description

Social media marketing opportunity  

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to manage the day-to-day implementation and monitoring of Stats NZ s social media channels.  

  • Wellington based
  • 10 month fixed-term role available until the end of June 2020
  • 37.5 hours per week (with some social media monitoring outside office hours)

What we re looking for  

We re looking for someone proactive, professional and calm under pressure, who can hit the ground running in our small, friendly Marketing team.  While this role is focused mostly on social media, you ll need:

  • At least 4 years of marketing experience, including digital.  
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Experience crafting engaging social media content for a range of audiences across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • General social media management experience eg. implementing, monitoring, optimising and reporting.
  • Experience managing e-newsletters.
  • Project management and planning skills.
  • Confidence working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • The ability to think both tactically and critically.
  • Experience in a corporate or government environment.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Marketing or Communications.  
  • Graphic design skills would be a bonus.

We re offering a base salary of between $65,000 - $80,000, depending on the skills and experience you bring to the role.
