About the role:

We are currently looking for an Operations and Tasking Coordinator to support within our new Operations, Tasking and Improvement branch and support the Manager Systems Action and Tasking. The Operations and Tasking Coordinator is responsible for tracking the tasking of activity across Immigration New Zealand, and for monitoring and reporting progress on that activity. The role provides effective tracking and communication of all tasking status by gathering and consolidating status reporting across multiple streams of work.

The Operations and Tasking Coordinator works together with their System Action & Tasking colleagues to ensure the tasking of activity is appropriately communicated and branches have clarity about what is expected of them in terms of delivery and deadlines.

The Operations and Tasking Coordinator is entering the business at an exciting time of change and growth, and will bring with them:

  • Wide ranging knowledge of administration systems and processes
  • Experience in a project or largely autonomous environment
  • Sound customer service and relationship skills with the ability to reason and influence
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to actively manage multiple work streams at the same time within time constraints
  • Good written skills that show an eye for detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a flexible and dynamic team environment
