The KiwiBuild initiative is a key priority for the Government. The programme provides the opportunity for a step-change in the housing and construction sector by increasing land and house supply, investigating major greenfield and urban regeneration projects and exploring innovative ways to address market constraints.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager Finance and Risk, the Risk Reporting - Junior Data Analyst will be responsible for assisting the team to ensure the effective management of compliance and risk related functions for Kiwibuild. Some of your responsibilities will include analysis, development and generation of risk reporting, supporting internal reporting projects and assisting with the automation of finance and risk processes. This role is fixed term until June 2020.

About you

You will have some experience working as a data analyst with an understanding of or an exposure to a variety of different data sources/applications. You will have a can-do attitude, looking for ways you can add value to improving reporting and data analytics for the wider team. Your communication skills will be excellent, and you will have demonstrated ability to think analytically.

Your background will include:

  • Some experience in a similar role and output focused
  • Graduate level degree in economics, finance, statistics or any other mathematical major
  • Well organised with the ability to multitask
  • Basic understanding of data models
  • Basic knowledge of risk management principles and guidelines
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Comfortable to work in an ambiguous environment.
