About us

Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, creates and supports safe, healthy, inspiring and ICT enabled learning environments. EIS manages the Crown's second largest property portfolio of around 2,500 schools with a book value of $17.8 billion, is responsible for the largest payroll in the country, and transports over 100,000 students to and from school each day.

About the role

The Commercial Coordinator will work as part of a team that provides Commercial support, guidance and oversight to the wider EIS Group.

In addition, the role will provide support to the Senior Commercial Manager and Senior Commercial Specialist as well as the rest of the commercial team in the delivery of support and coordination activities, ensuring the commercial team are providing the service and value to our stakeholders.

Your Key Priorities will include: 

  • Daily management of any email inboxes - coordinating the receipt, checking and processing of all  requests through the use of workflow tools and other registers
  • Panel management and administration - supporting the coordination of the panels, administrative functions and panel rules
  • Regular reporting against key commercial information and activities, providing regular updates to the wider team
  • Updating and maintaining calendars, appointment booking and diary management as required
  • Reviewing and coordinating contract documentation for approval and, ensuring all relevant final versions of documents are collected and stored appropriately

About you

You will have proven coordination experience, providing support to busy teams and ideally procurement teams and strong Microsoft Office skills with the ability to manipulate data in Excel spreadsheets.  A ‘can do' attitude is important and experience in the public sector and/or the construction industry would be advantageous.

You will also offer: 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to produce correspondence, proof read for grammar, spelling and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy
  • Computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing programs, at a highly proficient level
  • A Tertiary qualification in a related field is preferred but not essential
