Whitireia Community Polytechnic (Te Kura Matatini o Whitireia) and Wellington Institute of Technology (Te Whare Wānanga o te Awakairangi) are highly respected institutes of technology established under the Education Act. In 2012 the polytechnics formed a strategic partnership to build on the strengths of the existing institutions through greater collaboration. The key driver of the partnership is putting students first and together we serve around 15,000 students every year in the Wellington region and across New Zealand.

The Finance and Corporate Services Directorate has a vacancy for a full-time Finance Officer.

The purpose of this position is to efficiently perform accounts processing, monitoring and managing receivables, reconciliations and cash handling when necessary. There are also payables duties that are core to this role.

The position involves communicating with internal and external customers to ensure that risk is minimised and debts are collected on the accounts receivable debtors ledger.

Prior experience in an accounts payable/receivable role is required. This role will be primarily based at Petone at the WelTec campuses.
