Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Advisor - Leadership Development to join our busy and innovative team.

Are you interested in contributing to and helping shape the future of leadership at FENZ?

Reporting to the Principal Advisor Leadership Development, you'll be responsible for building of organisational capability, desired culture and performance to contribute to the achievement of Fire and Emergency New Zealand's strategic goals. The role also collaborates in the design, development and implementation of organisational development programmes and initiatives in the area of leadership development.

Our ideal applicant will:

  • have relevant experience in developing leaders and working with organisational culture
  • have knowledge of learning and leadership development theory
  • be comfortable presenting and facilitating development sessions with operational and non-operational leaders at all levels across the organisation
  • be able to use effective project management methodologies to ensure projects undertaken are delivered successfully
  • experience in effectively managing a wide range of relationships and deliverables
  • range of knowledge in organisational development and culture good practice standards and methodologies
  • well-developed communication skills including the ability to persuade and influence to obtain optimal outcomes
  • flexible, adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity while being delivery focused
  • a strong, practical and humanistic approach to solving problems and delivering solutions
  • strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well and collaborate with others, building trusted relationships and influencing
  • have an eye for detail and be able to connect information to the big picture when needed
  • be motivated to work proactively and use initiative
  • build strong relationships with people at all levels across FENZ
  • be able to demonstrate strong communication skills
  • be resourceful and self-sufficient.

This is a full-time role based in Wellington.
