Stats NZ are looking for an experienced BA to join the Enterprise Portfolio Office (EPO) in Christchurch.

You will be joining a pool of project delivery professionals that includes other Business Analysts, Project and Programme Managers, Change and Benefits Managers, Portfolio Managers and Project & Portfolio Support. There will be plenty of opportunity to develop your professional capability and learn new skills.

Your first assignment will be around the transformation of Migration Data Statistics. Stats NZ are world leaders in the application of new approaches and techniques in producing Statistics and our vision is Unleashing the Power od Statistics to Change Lives

This work is the practical application of that vision and the implementation of world leading techniques. This project is the next stage in a multi year programme of work to change the way Migration Statistics are produced. It is high profile and rewarding. You will be working in an established team with highly respected Senior BA s and Project Managers.

This is that rare opportunity to be able to comment when statistics are produced and the changes are implemented to say I played a major part in that .

When this project is complete, there are plenty more. Stats NZ is an exciting, dynamic place to work.

I am looking for a person

  • Who has 3 to 5 years experience, that sees themselves as a Senior BA in about 2 years time
  • You will have demonstratable listening skills
  • You will have relationship skills that enable you to work with people at all levels in the organisation.
  • You will be able to plan and lead workshops and enable diverse groups of people to reach a concensus.
  • You will have worked with Project Executives in producing business cases and project managers in producing project artifacts.
  • You will be able to work in both agile and non agile, and anything in the middle.
