Join our Practice, Quality and Capability team as a Business and Systems Trainer. You will be part of a team leading the implementation of new business practices, systems and capabilities at the Ministry.

This role is within the Development Capability and Insights (DCI) Division as part of the Pacific and Development Group (PDG) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. DCI is a support function for the rest of the group focused on providing exceptional internal customer service in business practice, learning & development, evaluation and planning and reporting.

As the Business and Systems Trainer, you'll develop and deliver training solutions to the Pacific and Development Group. It's an exciting time as we accelerate our growth in capability and adapt to new ways of working. Like the rest of the Ministry we are rapidly moving to a learning culture and your role is critical to achieving this goal.

You'll deliver our existing business knowledge and IT systems training programme to all staff across PDG and develop additional training solutions as our business continues to imbed new ways of working. This includes continuous improvement of training resources to support staff capability development, inducting staff in systems and processes, assessing the training requirements of the business and working with the wider Practice, Quality and Capability team to improve practice by looking for learning opportunities.

We're looking for someone who is confident, experienced and passionate about internal customer service. To be successful in this role you'll bring:

  • Excellent materials design and classroom delivery skills, as well as strong communication, stakeholder management and IT skills.
  • A proven record of using a variety of online and offline formats to develop and deliver business systems and process training for diverse audiences.
  • Strong people skills with a proven ability to influence through training,
  • Demonstrated experience of a large, complex project management environment.
