Corporate systems

  • Varied role - new, existing and project-based development
  • Bright and spacious office environment
  • Free on-site parking in the hills above Dunedin

Overseas is calling for one of our Developers, so we now have an opportunity for a creative, self-driven Developer to join our busy Solutions team here at Southern DHB. If you're technically savvy, have great people skills and want to join an organisation that has the ability to make a real difference in people's lives, keep reading! This could be the role you are looking for and now is a great time to join us.

The Developer role is a key position within the team and will give you the chance to be involved in a variety of activities including development of new and existing solutions, project work and providing technical leadership to other teams as required. No one day will be the same as you get experience in a range of projects and initiatives and work alongside a variety of teams and stakeholders.

This role will suit someone who likes to be involved in a range of tasks in a supportive and autonomous environment. Our team works hard but has fun along the way and there are opportunities for those who are up for the challenge at this busy time for the organisation!

Ideally, we are looking for at least three years demonstrated experience in the following skills to set you up for success in the role:

  • .Net (C#, ASP.Net)
  • Database development (SQL, Oracle)
  • Experience developing and maintaining a variety of applications
  • Integration/API development experience, in particular experience using health integration engines and standards (e.g., Rhapsody and HL7/FHIR)
  • Knowledge and understanding of data migration best practices

Located at our Wakari Hospital set in beautiful park like grounds and close to amazing walking/running trails, the successful applicant will enjoy free on-site parking, access to low cost quality on-site childcare, a great value on-site café and being part of a friendly, supportive organisation - plus you can buy an acre for the price of an Auckland studio apartment. What are you waiting for, apply today!

Applications close: Sunday, 4 August 2019 and interviews will be held the week commencing 12 August.
