The Department of Corrections has an incredibly diverse asset portfolio of $2.8b across NZ and is undertaking significant investment in addressing capacity and enabling new ways of working to achieve its strategic objectives of keeping communities safe and changing lives.

Building and further developing the Department's Asset Management capability will integrate long term planning, investment, asset maintenance and project delivery. As a result of this transformation to strengthen our strategic Asset Management and delivery capability, a large number of new roles and teams have been created.

As Portfolio Administrator, you will support the Business Management teams to ensure they maintain a consistent approach with procedures, systems and management controls. Together with the Portfolio Coordinator, you will support the Portfolio Manager as well as the wider team in all areas of portfolio management. From collaborating with the team and ePMO, document management, scheduling, administration to secretariat duties, this role has it all.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience

  • Experience as a Portfolio, Programme or Project Administrator
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • IT savvy and proficient in Word and Excel
  • Thrives in a busy team environment but able to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills

The salary range for this role is $ 51,000 to $72,008. Appointment will be based on skills and experience relevant to the role.
