Job Description

  • Perform the lead and subject matter role in application architecture domain
  • LINZ is becoming cloud enabled with an increased number of cloud applications
  • We offer a great work culture with flexible work practices

It's a good time to join the Enterprise Architecture team at Land Information New Zealand (LINZ). The LINZ footprint is growing with an increase in responsibilities, a controlled move into public cloud (AWS and Azure) and the rebuild of our main system (Landonline), which is critical for New Zealand's economy.

Our architects function in the middle of all changes and influence through advice, consultancy and delivery of artefacts. We need people that can show their technical leadership in an environment that is becoming more agile and this will require you to have strong interpersonal skills.

The Enterprise Application Architect (EAA) proactively engages with LINZ business managers and projects. The EAA develops and maintains key artefacts, which includes strategies, policies, frameworks, roadmaps, standards, technical reference architectures and design patterns.

A track record of engaging with management and suppliers is needed and you will need to demonstrate the ability to communicate complex issues in simple terms. The EAA ensures the artefacts are reflected in architecture principles, technology roadmaps, and solution architectures.

The EAA needs to have a relevant understanding of Azure and AWS cloud. The individual needs to be self-sufficient, keen to work on their development and takes personal accountability in delivery.

At LINZ, we are committed to developing and promoting an environment where our people feel included and valued. Diversity is our strength and we're dedicated to bringing together people with diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.

Join us in our important work and in return we'll offer you a collaborative, inclusive work environment with flexible working options and wellness benefits.
