Job Description

  • Play a lead role in the delivery of a diverse work programme

Please note this is a 12 month fixed term position that will be based in Wellington.

About Crown Property

The Crown Property group provides the leadership and direction for Crown property, looking for opportunities to maximise these assets for the benefit of New Zealanders. Day-to-day, we manage about two million hectares of Crown land. This includes surplus crown assets, commercial and residential properties, pastoral leases and forestry licences. We administer Crown property management, acquisitions and disposals, biosecurity and Crown forest licenses. We also contribute to the long term recovery and regeneration of Christchurch.

About the opportunity

We have a Senior Business Advisor opportunity in our Crown Property Business Improvement Team. In this role you will support the Manager Business Improvement to deliver a programme that includes:

  • Developing business and operational processes
  • Leadership, oversight and support for key business improvement activities
  • Leading the development of tools and resources to support Crown Property
  • Strategic engagement with Finance and ensuring Crown Property and Finance processes result in effective management of the Crown balance sheet
  • Ongoing enhancement of our Knowledge Hub.

 

What you will bring to the role

To be successful, it is expected you will bring:

  • Well-developed influencing skills to achieve effective outcomes that are owned by stakeholders
  • Ability to assimilate new information or areas of work and prioritise with a focus on achieving sustainable positive outcomes
  • Excellent partnering and engagement skills
  • Experience of continuous improvement to enhance organisational performance
  • Experience of developing a knowledge hub (or equivalent)
  • Experience of successfully leading projects with robust understanding of effective project management.
