We have a contract/fixed term opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst (SBA) to support BT Release 4.0 design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities, with a focus on MyIR online services.


Specifically, the Senior Business Analyst will:

  • Participate in the high level and detailed design for release 4.0 providing expert analysis support
  • Provide insight on work completed in BT High Level Design
  • Support Business Transformation Mangers and Subject Matter Experts efforts to ensure the direction they are taking is fully aligned with Business Solution Blueprints
  • Support the development of IR deliverables, eg Design Blueprints, Business Functional Design and Decision documentation
  • Support the development of Inventories (Interfaces, Forms, Letters)
  • Actively participate in design definition sessions, and challenge design decisions, if those are not aligned with business, product or user requirements
  • Identify and record design issues, assess impact, propose mitigation approach
  • Maintain the design decision register
  • Support the development of relevant documents for Design Authority review and endorsement
  • Analyse and assess the proposed solution to ensure it aligns with the principles of High Level Design, delivers against requirements and is compliant with legislation and connected end to end.
  • Support the development of test scenarios, with focus on end-to-end tests, exceptions, and boundaries
  • Assess test scenario coverage and quality
  • Trace business rules to test scenarios to ensure the solution is compliant with legislation
  • Support the rollout


Our ideal candidate will have the following experience:

  • Background in large or complex IT system deployment (essential)
  • Experience working with customer facing digital services (essential)
  • Extensive business analysis experience (essential)
  • Experience with BPA tooling such as Aris (desirable)
  • Experience at requirement elicitation and management (essential)
  • Experience with Organisational Change methods and practices (highly desirable)
  • Understanding of Enterprise Architectural principles and methods (desirable)
  • Experience with Modelling: process, data, systems (UML, BPMN) (essential)
  • Full understanding of the SDLC (waterfall, iterative and Agile) (essential)
