The Health Practice team is responsible for the ensuring the delivery of high quality primary health care services to people in prison that meet New Zealand Health sector standards and legislation. A key focus is on reducing disparities in health status in the prison population and achieving integrated care. 

You will be joining a team who is passionate about improving health services for some of New Zealand's most vulnerable. You will be making a key contribution to the development and integration of efficient and effective systems, policies and processes to support the delivery of health services by frontline staff and contracted providers. 

You will demonstrate the following skills and experience: 

  • Disability sector and/or clinical experience (minimum 5 years)
  • Experience working in a service development role, with a focus on quality improvement
  • Application of project management discipline
  • Understanding or experience with multi disciplinary health teams and approaches
  • Comprehensive stakeholder and relationship management capability
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communications

You will hold a current driver licence and have the ability to travel. A health related tertiary qualification would be desirable.
