Oranga Tamariki – Ministry for Children is transforming – both our workplace and the way we practice Social Work. We're looking at new ways to do things, with our one goal in mind – Protecting the Tamariki of New Zealand. Is this your goal too?

Join our Lower Hutt team, a site with a big heart and a passion for getting things right for its children, young people and community. You can be part of a positive and supportive team and help children and young people be safe, strong and thrive. The Hutt Valley is only a 15 minute drive or train ride from Wellington, and is home to adventurous activities, a rich culture and heritage, and beautiful scenery.

Applicants will need to be able to work with a range of Iwi in the area, and also be able to represent Oranga Tamariki, and ensure that legislated processes are complied with, when on Marae and other community based venues.

You must have:

• Full registration with New Zealand's Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) or able to register
• A social worker qualification recognised by the SWRB

• A full, clean drivers license.
