Forensic Data Analyst 

 

The Risk and Assurance team provides risk management, business assurance, advisory, fraud and integrity services that support Oranga Tamariki management in the delivery of our strategic priorities and accountabilities. We are a team who work together to deliver an integrated service to the business. 

 

About the role: 
A rare opportunity has arisen for a professional and proactive individual to join the Risk and Assurance team early in its development. As the forensic data analyst, you will be a pivotal part of the team as the information and insights you generate will support many of the activities the team perform ranging from proactive analytics and fraud investigations. 


An overview of your responsibilities: 
-    You will be the primary driver in collating information from numerous sources that can be used to support the team's activities
-    Developing the tools that will be used to generate the data and insights required by the Risk and Assurance team
-    You will have responsibility for ensuring the integrity of the information
-    Provide specialist advice to the Risk and Assurance team and the wider organisation
-    Build trusting relationships with key stakeholders
-    Bring fresh ideas to the team and determine what will work best for organisation, so that the work we do enables the organisation to improve

 

About you: 
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has experience as a forensic data analyst and is looking for a new challenge. At Oranga Tamariki, we can give you the opportunity to develop the tools you need to do the job and implement arrangements that will provide data and insights that will support the Risk and Assurance team and enable continuous improvement throughout the organisation. 

 

The skills you will bring: 
-    Ability to collate and manipulate data using multiple tools and technologies including SQL
-    Analyse information from multiple sources, sharing this in a way that the Risk and Assurance team can use to provide insights to the organisation
-    Experience in developing and embedding tools and technologies that support fraud and integrity arrangements within an organisation. This will range from preventative analytics through to generating information used to support fraud investigations
-    The ability to think outside the box and bring new ideas to the team
-    Be resilient and able to overcome obstacles that come your way
-    Be inquisitive and have a desire to understand the business in a way that will enable change
