Job Description

Administration Officer – Newtown

Permanent, Full Time

 

Join our team in this Administration Officer role, delivering high quality and on-time administrative support to our Newtown team. In this busy and varied role you will provide reception cover, where you are greeting members of the public, staff, visitors and other guests as the first point of entry to the office. In addition to reception cover you are also responsible for coordinating meeting rooms, fleet management, video conferencing equipment, visitor car parks and MSD pool car booking requests. You also provide other ad-hoc administration support services as required.

 

You will enjoy working as part of a dynamic team and are able to work well under pressure while prioritising and multi-tasking in a busy environment. Most of all, you pride yourself on your great customer service skills and high attention to detail. You must be able to demonstrate experience in providing advanced administration support, preferably within a large public or private sector organisation. You are proficient across a broad range of office administration functions including financial and personnel administration and practical experience working with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook and other software packages.


Preference is given to those who have skills and work experience in the following areas:

 

  • High level of competence with the Microsoft Suite, particularly Word, Outlook, PowerPoint  and Excel
  • Working with Learner Management Systems would be advantageous
  • Experience in an admin support role or provision of team focused support services at a senior level
  • Demonstrated ability and skills in design, layout and publishing
  • Experience in maintaining and improving office systems
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full NZ Driver's Licence.
