$71,357.00 - $96,542.00

The Criminal Justice Support Unit (CJSU) in an integral part of the Police Prosecution structure. Counties Manukau District has six CJSU workgroups which support a number of key elements of the Prosecution process. The Counties Manukau District is looking for engaged, highly motivated, and innovative staff to work in our respective teams.   

A file briefing manager is responsible for managing the preparation of all CJSU supported prosecution files in an Area based CJSU office in a timely and efficient manner through the direct management of all such files to final resolution.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrate positive leadership and influence in delivering on Our Business such as provide formal and informal coaching to others, ensuring that the preliminary preparation of the file is professional, timely and meets all evidential requirements.
  • Demonstrate skills and experience in review or preparation of prosecution files to Police or Crown prosecution service to a high standard.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively at all levels (internally and externally) to achieve desired outcomes.

Special Requirements

  • Satisfactory Professional Conduct Check
  • Satisfactory VCA - Core Children's Worker safety vetting check
  • The member must reside in the Auckland area
  • New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
  • Previous exposure or work in the CIB (Criminal investigation Branch) will be an advantage but not essential.

  • This position is subject to rotation within the Counties Manukau District
