What we&#8217;re looking for

We are seeking an experienced, skilled and enthusiastic senior ecotoxicologist to join our Hazardous Substances Applications &amp; Reassessment team. The role involves evaluating applications for import and manufacture or reassessment of chemicals, as well as providing support and expertise across the wider team and the EPA in carrying out our statutory functions.


Knowledge and experience required

The successful candidate will:

  • have a proven track record of ecotoxicology experience, with a minimum of 5 years working in the field

  • have proven experience within a regulatory environment and/or industry experience

  • have demonstrated their ability to positively engage with others on technical matters

  • have experience in technical leadership and coaching/mentoring others

  • have an expert knowledge of chemicals or agrochemical regulations

  • enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team

  • have a focus on time management, quality and an eye for detail

  • demonstrate skills and behaviours which support a positive, collaborative and professional team culture
