Job Description

Executive Assistant to Deputy Chief Executive

Do you like working in a dynamic, fast paced environment where no two days are the same.   Are you highly organised  and use your initiative.  If that's you then read on.

About this role:
Executive Assistant roles like this don't come along very often!   You'll have fun, be challenged but also have a feeling of pride whilst you play your part in making a positive impact on the lives of NZ tamariki. Having worked within an Executive Assistant role previously, you will be able to bring your own energy to this Executive Assistant role, but will understand the importance of getting the basics right.

Our Deputy Chief Executive needs someone proactive that can help turn a busy schedule into a structured, organised and well-planned day. You will be a pleasant negotiator who works hard to accommodate everyone when organising/rearranging meetings. If something urgent arrives you'll spot this and notify the DCE immediately. You'll exercise good judgment and often go out of your way to seek advice if something is unclear or to get things ready for the DCE who you will support.

This will mean always being one step ahead to ensure all information and resources are at hand. Your day will also be kept busy providing administrative support to the wider Services for children and families operational team when required.

About you:
As a seasoned Executive Assistant, you will be blessed naturally with excellent solution-focused administration and organisational skills.  Your strong communication and problem-solving ability will mean you are comfortable with ambiguity and figuring things out.

By nature; professional and mature with a strong sense of initiative, you will be skilled at anticipating, removing and diverting obstacles - always one step ahead of the game.  You will enjoy working in a fast paced environment, know the value of maintaining a high level of confidentiality and have a great attitude and willingness to help.  Being someone with excellent people skills who is calm, professional and has a welcoming approach when dealing with clients, key attributes which represent the DCE you will be supporting.

We can offer you:
•    A good work life balance and the importance of maintaining both as well as a challenging, fascinating and gratifying career
•    A cohesive team environment, discounts on Southern Cross Health insurance
•    If you work with agility, have a sense of humour, are engaging with a can-do attitude and can show how your organisational skills can add value – then get in touch today

About us:
