Massey Executive Development (MED) is one of six units within MBS, and focuses on postgraduate, post-experience professional programmes. We offer New Zealand's longest running MBA programme (our Executive MBA) and the Master of Advanced Leadership Practice, along with executive short courses. We are now expanding, with a new MBA to be offered in two modes starting in October this year.

The Operations Manager is primarily responsible for effective co-ordination and integration of administrative, technical and academic support functions within MED. We are rolling out a new MBA offering and you will play a key role in leading a team to ensure quality operations that enable excellent student experiences.

Key accountabilities include the following:

  • Systems and Policy Support
  • Academic and Student Support
  • Staff Management
  • Administration Support

About you

Ideally you will have a university qualification related to management and business. The thought of working at a University to serve mature students really appeals. Tell us why!

You'll have the following:

  • Experience in managing operations and logistics -essential
  • Experience in programme and event management -essential
  • Experience in working effectively as part of a team - essential
  • Experience in managing a budget - essential
  • Experience in establishing and developing networks - essential
  • Experience in setting and achieving targets - essential
  • Experience in leading a team - preferable
  • Experience in a tertiary education context - preferable

You will be based at our Massey University's Auckland campus, located at Albany, which is part of the North Shore and is usually just a 20 minute drive from the centre of Auckland.
