Project Manager and Senior Project Manager


  • Provide critical Project Management skills across the organisation
  • Business facing across Service Delivery, including transformation change projects (people, process, systems)
  • Drive delivery of complex projects for successful outcomes
  • Permanent role, Wellington based

Service Delivery is all about working together to make a difference. To build on this we are looking for a great leader who is a strong relationship manager with a results focused approach.  You will have a history of delivery and achievement on significant projects as well as managing and influencing others while working collaboratively across teams and sectors.


This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager and Senior Project Manager to play a pivotal role in scoping, overseeing and delivering on initiatives within the Strategy and Change arm of Service Delivery.


In order to succeed in this role you will have:


  • Extensive experience managing external stakeholder relationships e.g. PSA, other government agencies
  • Proven project management skills and experience at a senior level, ideally with some in the public service arena
  • Practical experience in Agile techniques
  • Sound knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects
  • Demonstrated ability to see the "big picture" and understand the strategic context of projects
  • Proven decision-making experience and leadership demonstrated in leading and implementing a range of successful projects
  • Extensive (10 years plus) experience in a project/change management role, ideally within the public service arena.
  • Qualification/s in project management e.g. AgilePM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, PMP and MSP etc
  • Sound financial skills with the ability to manage budgets, timeframes, benefits and associated risks
