  • Participation in the creation and or maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures as well as conducting vulnerability audits and risk assessments

As well possessing excellent technical knowledge you'll also have the ability to listen, empathise, explain, advise, influence and negotiate; all whilst navigating complex project environments with competing stakeholder expectations.

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Have a minimum of four to five years of previous security operations experience, preferably in an enterprise-scale environment, and it would be desirable if you held a relevant security qualification
  • Possess experience in cloud environments (Azure and AWS)
  • Be familiar working in an ITIL environment and ideally a ITIL foundation certificate
  • Have hands-on experience with endpoint protection, email security, and incident management
  • Have a strong operational focus, be results orientated and deliver under pressure

  • Familiarity working within the New Zealand Protective Security Requirements framework
  • Some understanding of current laws and compliance requirements, as they relate information security
  • A good understanding of information risk management
  • The ability to translate to technical risk into something a non-technical person will understand

This full-time position will form a part of a team based in Palmerston North and therefore our preference is for the successful applicant to be based on our Manawatu campus. However for the right person, we would consider them working from our Auckland or Wellington campus on the condition some travel would be required.
