Senior Advisor, High Needs Services - Wellington


A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced and engaging practitioner to join the High Needs Services Team in the Care Services workgroup based at National Office in Wellington.  



About the role: 
As a Senior Advisor, you will provide proficient and specialised advice and guidance to managers and practitioners in relation to specialist care and high needs services and programmes. The purpose of this position is to support practitioners and managers to identify and access specialist placements and services.  



An overview of your responsibilities: 
•    Social work assessment, analysis and systems co-ordination to determine access to specialist care and treatment placements and services 
•    Specialist placement support, monitoring and risk mitigation 
•    Preparing advice and reports for manager High Needs Services
•    Building and maintaining effective and collaborative relationships 
•    Work closely with the Ministry's National Providers and Services and Planning and Reporting teams  
•    Strong strategic and analytical skills, and ability to see the ‘big picture' to inform continued improvement 
•    Leadership and national co-ordination of complex care and treatment needs that require specialist care services
